Can you give us any details on the direction that Novell looks to be going with Mono? Are they going to halt progress or kill all of their support/funding for the project? I'm just embarking on a significant project that needs to be Linux/Windows cross-platform and was going to use Java, but our internal MS-Win zealots have convinced leadership that .NET is the way to go and that my concerns (cross-platform) are addressed by Mono. Do you think this is a safe approach, or is a bad idea in light of Novell's staffing "corrections"?
