Well, that’s it, we shipped 1.0 ! Congratulations to our great developer community.

We can be proud of this release, so proud !

I want to point out a few things that we might not have anticipated half a year ago:

• MacOS X package for Mono (downloads for all supported OSs here, with a GTK/GTK# package coming soon)
• a new GTK/GTK# installer for Windows (delivering on GTK# cross platform promises)
• Tools for converting Microsoft VS.NET project files to makefiles
• a great new mono native IDE, MonoDevelop
• a C# plugin for Eclipse in development, with Mono and mcs support of course.
• Bindings for Apple MacOS X Cocoa as well as bindings Objective-C bindings
• a new book about Mono, from O’Reilly: ‘Mono: A Developer’s Notebook’
• a new official Mono web site to showcase Mono beyond the contributing community
• and tons of projects adopting mono, press coverage, …

Life is great, I am happy.
